Ballymaloe Literary Festival of Food and Wine

Some of the World’s most acclaimed food writers are coming to Cork this May bank holiday weekend for readings, talks, panel discussions, demos, tastings, producer visits, foraging expeditions, lunches & dinners.

Among the speakers will be: 
Alice Waters
Founder of the iconic Chez Panisse Restaurant in Berkley California she has local food and sustainable farms for 4 decades, long before the terms were cool.
Stephanie Alexander
Stephanie Alexander established her reputation as a restaurateur in Australia, her restaurant, Stephanie’s, was regarded as an essential Melbourne experience. She is the author of fourteen books, including The Cook’s Companion, The Kitchen Garden Companion and her memoir A Cook’s Life.
Claudia Roden
Claudia Roden is celebrated for her books on the foods of the Middle East, North Africa, the Mediterranean, Italy and most recently the food of Spain.
Madhur Jaffrey
Madhur Jaffrey is regarded by many as the world authority on Indian food. She is an award-winning actress and best selling cookery author. Her first book, An Invitation to Indian Cookery, published in 1973 and her series for BBC television, Madhur Jaffrey’s Indian Cookery, made her a household name.
Jancis Robinson
Jancis Robinson MW, is one of a handful of wine communicators with an international reputation. She writes daily for (voted first-ever Wine Website of the Year in the Louis Roederer International Wine Writers Awards 2010), weekly for The Financial Times, and bi-monthly for a column that is syndicated around the world.
